You can take a taxi orr rent a car to reach Cagliari Airport from the city center. If you prefer public transportation, it is possible to reach the airport in a short time at low costs by taking a train.
Taxi
It is always easy to get a taxi in the city center. Taking a taxi from the city center to the airport costs about 15-20 Euros. Taxi fare costs more at night. Transportation by taxi takes about 10 minutes under normal traffic conditions.
Rent a car
You can rent a car in the city center to go to the airport or you can deliver the rental car you have rented for your travel at the airport. You can drive through Asse Mediano di Scorrimento road and then connect to the road SS391. From this road, take the airport road exit. You can get to the airport in about 10 or 15 minutes by driving.
Train
It is possible to reach the airport in just 6 minutes by taking a train from the city center. You need to get off at 'Elmas Aeroporto' station, which is located within a 5-minute walking distance to the airport. Please keep in mind that the train services are only available between 5 am and 9 pm during the day. You can take the orange coloured buses to get to the city centre from the airport. There is a bus service approximately in every 20 minutes between 06.35 and 23.00.
