Bike

The most common means of transportation in Amsterdam is cycling. From young children to the elderly, everyone travels by bike. There are bike parking stations located almost everywhere in the city. Tram

While there is a metro network in Amsterdam it is generally used for transportation to and from locations outside of the city. Since there is a parking problem in the city and because parking is very expensive biking or taking the tram are more preferable modes of transportation.

Bus
