Located in the south-east of the island country of Cuba, Moa is located in the Holgiun region of the country. Despite being a small settlement, Moa has managed to become one of the popular points of the region thanks to its rich underground resources like cobalt. It has a population of 72 thousand people. The city is quite quiet and calm compared to the capital city of Havana and other popular holiday destinations of the country. It is also possible to say that Moa has a partly active commercial life. Apart from mines, usually operated by Canadian companies, the livelihood of the region is based on agriculture and animal husbandry. The weather conditions in the city are convenient for visiting throughout the year. Nevertheless, you should remember that there are not many historical and natural beauties worth seeing in Moa. You can also visit some of the coastal areas of the city, where you can enjoy the sea and the sun. In Moa, which offers traditional Cuban and Spanish delicacies traditionally, you can also try delicious fresh fruit and vegetables.
