It is possible to get to the Volgograd International Airport by taxi easily from the city center. If you have rented a car for your sightseeing, you can deliver your car at the airport. Volgograd International Airport, located 15 kilometers northwest of the city center of Volgograd, was constructed in 1997 instead of an old airport named Gumrak Airport which belonged to the army.
