Transportation to Airport from Bangkok City Center

The city’s first airport, Don Mueang International Airport, is a regional commuter flight hub and low-cost airline hub.

Suvarnabhumi International Airport handles the largest amount of international passengers entering the city, handling over 53 million passengers in 2012. Bangkok is a city with a population of 8 million. Like other South Asian countries, transportation within the city can be chaotic. However, transportation to and from the airport is extremely advanced and comfortable.

Rail

You can take buses 201 and 503 from the Royal Palace, National Museum, and Phara Nakhon, the historic city center, to Phaya Thai Station. From this station you can get to the airport in 17 minutes.

You can also get on the express line at Makkasan Station. Other lines take about 30 minutes to get to the airport.

Airport Services

There are vehicles that depart from Victory Monument, which is one of the busiest transportation hubs in the city, to the airport every 20 minutes. You can get to the airport using luxury minibuses or buses where you need to connect or transfer in between. Minibuses 550 and 551 will take you directly to the airport. The city of Bangkok experiences extremely hot temperatures and these vehicles were designed taking that fact into consideration. These vehicles are all air-conditioned, providing comfortable transportation for tourists.

From the historic city center (Phara Nakhon) take the Nakhon Sawan or Lan Luang bridges and connect to the Sirat Expressway, which has a toll. From here you need to take Motorway 7, which connects directly to the airport. After reaching the airport you can park your vehicle in one of the three parking lots, which have a total car park capacity of 5 thousand vehicles.

Transportation to Batumi City Center from Airport

Alexander Kartveli Batumi Intl. Airport

Batumi Airport is one of three airports in Georgia that serves both international and domestic air travel. The airport has been operational since 2007. There are many transportation methods available to get to Georgia and northeast Turkey. The airport is located 20 km from the city of Hopa, Turkey and also serves as an airport for northeastern Turkey. The highway provides quick and easy access to the city center from the airport.

Batumi Airport is located 2 km from the city center. You can get to the city center from the airport by taxi, bus, rental car, or personal car.

Taxi

You can choose to go to the city center from the airport by taxi. Taxis are the fastest method of transportation since the airport is located only 2 km away. You can find taxis located at the terminal exit. The total trip to the city center by taxi takes about 15 minutes. Despite the fact that taxis are the most costly method of transportation they have the advantage of being the fastest alternative.  

Bus

Another transportation alternative to get to the city center from Batumi Airport is by bus. Buses are very affordable and get to the city center in about 20 minutes. Buses depart adjacent to the terminal building. You can get on the bus right after you land and start your trip to the city center without waiting.

HAVAŞ

Those who are traveling to Hopa, Turkey can take the Havaş shuttle buses. Havaş shuttle buses provide services for every plane that lands at Batumi Airport. Havaş shuttle buses depart for Hopa, Turkey 25 minutes after the flight has landed. The total trip takes about 45 minutes; you pass through the Sarp border and get dropped off at the Hopa Port.
