Miami Intl. Airport

Miami International Airport is the main airport serving the vibrant city of Miami and the greater Miami area. The airport is located in close proximity to the city center, only 13 km away. Miami International Airport is the main airport in South Florida for long-haul international flights and is a major gateway between Latin America and the U.S. There are a variety of transportation alternatives to get to the airport from the city center, including the rail, bus, taxi, and rental cars. 

Rail

Miami International Airport is accessible by the Metrorail, and Tri-Rail systems. Both systems ensure a comfortable and convenient trip to the airport from the city. The Metrorail system operates from various locations in Miami, providing service to the airport. The Metrorail Orange Line runs to the Miami Central Station. It takes about 15 minutes to get from Downtown Miami to the Miami Central Station, which is in close proximity to the airport. From there take the free MIA Mover train, which provides transportation to the airport terminals. The Tri-Rail system operates from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach, providing service to Miami International Airport, via the Miami Central Station. The Metrobus system is another convenient and affordable transportation alternative to get to the airport from the city center. The Metrobus connects to the Metrorail and Metromover. You can take the Metrobus from major locations in the city to the Miami Central Station. From the Miami Central Station passengers can use the MIA Mover train to access the airport terminals. The airport features a total parking capacity of 8,233 vehicles as well as basic services such as ATMs, baggage wrapping stations, storage spaces, currency exchange services, a lost and found, Wi-Fi areas, spa services, and smoking areas. Some more unique services that Miami International Airport offers include a yoga room, nursing suites, pet relief areas, and a 260-room airport hotel. Transportation to Fort Worth City Center from Airport

Dallas Fort Worth Intl. Airport

Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the world and the largest hub for American Airlines. There are a number of ways you can get to the city center from the airport, including options like taxis, public transportation, and rental cars. Some hotels provide airport shuttle services as well.

Rapid Transit

The Trinity Railway Express (TRE) high-speed trains or Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) trains are a great way to get to the city center from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. These trains stop at various stops in the city. The TRE line station is located in close proximity to the airport. If you are going to take the TRE line you have to first take the shuttles, which depart from the bottom floor of each terminal every 15 minutes, to the Remote South Parking area. From there you have to get on the buses that go to the CentrePort Train station. Train ticket prices can vary; you can purchase a single day use ticket for around 5 USD or a single use ticket for around 2.25 USD. The train to downtown Dallas takes about 20 minutes.

Those who want to take the DART have to go to the train station located at the lower level of Terminal A. If you land at a different terminal you can use the Skylink to get to Terminal A. DART fares are the same as TRE fares. However the TRE doesn’t run on Sundays while the DART operates every day of the week.

Airport Shuttle

There are a variety of airport shuttle buses that provide transportation to various parts of the city. The most widely used shuttle bus company is the Go Yellow Checker Shuttle. Other shuttle bus companies that you can use include City Shuttle and SuperShuttle. These buses are accessible from the top floor of each terminal at the airport. Shuttle fares start at 15 USD and are collected once you are on board the bus. You can also pay the fare with a credit card.

Taxi

Airport taxis are accessible from the top floor of Terminals A, B, C, and E, and the bottom floor of Terminal D. There are auxiliary staff members at each taxi stop. Taking a taxi to downtown Dallas costs around 45 USD.

Hotel Shuttles

Many hotels offer free shuttle services from the airport to the hotel. You can find out more information regarding these shuttle services from the hotel you made a reservation at or at the information desks at the airport. These shuttles pick up passengers at the bottom floor of each terminal.  

Rental Car

The Car Rental Facility is located in close proximity to the southern entrance of DFW. The Car Rental Facility features 10 rental car companies, including Budget and Avis. To access the Car Rental Facility you have to follow the signs located at the bottom floor of each terminal, after you get your luggage. These signs will take you to the bus stop from where buses provide free transportation to the Car Rental Facility. These buses run every 10 minutes and operate 24 hours a day.
