Transportation to Airport from Venice City Center

Venice Marco Polo Airport

You can reach the Marco Polo airport in 25-30 minutes directly by ACTV and ATVO buses departing from Rome Square. You can also get the trams departing from Santa Lucia Railway Station. You can go to Venice Marco Polo Airport only by taking the buses afterwards that transfer to the airport. Taking a taxi is another option.

Water taxi, vaporettos is a pleasant way to get to the airport directly by the canals, but it would take you a bit longer this way to get to the airport.

Airport Information

Marco Polo Airport is 7 kilometers from Venice and is one of Italy's busiest airports. The airport consists of a 3-storey building. Entrance floors are reserved for incoming passengers, while 1st floor is reserved for departing passengers and check-in procedures. There is a VIP Lounge and offices on the 2nd floor.

There are banks, cafés and restaurants, car rental offices, hotel reservation banks in the incoming passenger area. On the departing passenger area there are cafés and restaurants as well as stores where you can shop for books, clothes, accessories or souvenirs. If you failed to buy from the famous Murano glass art examples while in the city, you can also buy them at the airport. There is also a Duty Free store. On the top floor of the airport there is a smoking area, a terrace and a VIP Lounge.

Transportation to Munich City Center from Airport

Munich Airport is a major international airport welcoming a significant amount of visitors to the city. Once you land at Munich Airport there are several transportation alternatives available to get to the city center. Passengers can get to the city center from Munich Airport by train, bus, taxi, and rental car.

Train

There is a rail system in place that provides transportation directly from Munich Airport to the city center. Trains depart every 10 minutes and provide transportation to the city. The rain is accessible from terminals 1 and 2. The S1 train line provides transportation from Munich Airport to Neufahrn, Moosach, Laim, Munich Hauptbahnhof, Marienplatz and Ostbahnhof and the S8 train line provides transportation from Munich Airport to Ostbahnhof, Isartor, Marienplatz, Karlsplatz/Stachus, Hauptbahnhof, Laim and Pasing and Herrsching. For both lines the total trip from the airport to the furthest point on the line takes about 50 minutes.

Taxi

One of the most convenient and fastest transportation alternatives to get to the city center from Munich Airport is by taxi. Taxis are easily accessible from both terminals, from both the arrival and departure levels. Taxi fares are calculated based on the kilometers traveled. Another transportation alternative to get to the city center from Munich Airport is by bus. There are many bus routes that provide transportation to the city center and many bus stops at both terminals at the airport. Rental Car

Renting a car is a very convenient transportation alternative to get to the city center from Munich Airport. Renting a car is also a great option for getting around in the city during your trip. There are various rental car companies located at the airport. You can pick up your rental car from the Car Rental Center in the Central Area of the airport. Rental car companies that you can choose from include Avis, Enterprise, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, Sixt, Buchbinder and Thrifty.
